Inspiration and Expert Information for Families & Children in Distress
David C Hall, MD, Child Adolescent and Family Psychiatry, Seattle
Welcome Families and Professionals
Greetings from Dr. Hall,
I am a Child Adolescent and Family Psychiatrist in private practice in Seattle since 1983. That's when I graduated with the award for clinical excellence from the University of Washington's Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. My office building in Montlake, where I practiced for 20 years, was demolished in 2007. That's when I moved to my present office in the Samaritan Center of Puget Sound near Greenlake. Given our community's shortage of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, I currently limit my practice to children, adolescents and families.
I specialize in services to highly distressed families and their children. Problems I routinely diagnose and treat include depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, moodswings, major emotional trauma, psychosis, divorce, and other complex family conflict. Common additional problems include oppositional behaviors, substance abuse, school refusal, school failure, school suspension, parenting mediation and education, and occasional evaluations for adolescent legal issues.
Browse the web site and feel free to call me with questions I can answer briefly.
I am a preferred provider with some Regence and Blue Shield medical plans, but have opted not to do the paperwork and take the fee cuts imposed by other insurance carriers. We do bill insurance from the office and I am happy to take any insurance that will cover reasonable fees. It is considered unethical to waive co-fees as these fees are intended by contract to assure responsible use of insurance benefits.
There is nothing so precious as our mental health and the mental health of those we love. We are here to serve.
May you find genuine satisfaction in your life and help those you care about to do the same.
All best wishes,
Dr. Dave Hall
Every child is a precious gift of creation. Every child deserves a safe and loving childhood. So does every adult. Sadly, some of us must find preciousness in life on our own. Healing can be painful, but it is possible. Blessings in your search for health.
