Greetings! I'm Dr. David Hall.

Welcome to FamilyHealing.com, a place I hope you'll find refuge, hope, and inspiration to pursue the family love and understanding that will bring you and your family peace and meaning.
Our children are precious. Life is sacred. Good mental health is the foundation on which we build the lives we want.
I closed my 28-year practice of Child and Family Psychiatry in Seattle in August 2011. That's when Anne and I moved to Lopez Island. In September 2012 I contracted to work in Anacortes three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday) in Island Hospital's Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Clinic.
It's a thoroughly enjoyable, professional home for my skills. The clinic keeps my schedule, so call our reception desk at 360-299-4297 and speak with Debbie or Bethany for appointments or with questions. If you would like to reach me directly, my cell phone -- 360-298-5212. Call me twice so I can distinguish your call from unsolicited calls.
For now I'm one of now three Child Psychiatrists in active practice north of Everett and west of Bellingham, so your patience may be tested. Appointments can be 4 to 6 weeks out. Norm Hale MD works 2 days a week in Mt Vernon for Catholic Community Services. We just hired Shad Ali MD from Boston Children's Hospital. He's an early career Child Psychiatrist eager to serve our community and to take my longterm patients into the future once I retire in a year or so.
Urgent appointments we will work in as soon as the situation requires, but you may need to go to your local emergency room first. A call from your primary care physician is always appreciated.
Our local crisis line is 800-584-3578, and you can always call 911. (Updated 11/23/2020)
